Rain

I love the rain! Maybe that's because it doesn't happen very often, but I have always loved it. Today was pretty crazy. At work, one of the co-principals got on the speaker and announced that Long Beach was under a tornado warning until 1:30pm, so no one was allowed to leave until further notice. The kids were supposed to get out at 1:10, so the ones who didn't have a class after that weren't too excited to stay a little longer than usual, but it wasn't too bad. The rain was coming down really hard, and then we heard hail. So much fun, although I hoped it wasn't too bad with the hail, I really didn't want my new car to end up with little indentations. Fortunately, the hail was small and short-lived. The students all thought it was pretty cool, too. Hail isn't anything we see too much around here, either. All in all, it was a great day. Lots of rain, which Southern California really needs, a little hail, and fresh, cool, crisp air. Yay for some more rain the rest of this week. The snow in the mountains is going to be great! I'll have to go snowboarding soon. :) Rainstorms are awesome!
